The Plank is an exercise that looks deceptively easy….

But once you try it yourself (and do the repetitions), you will definitely feel the burn in your abs.

Since this looks remarkably easy to do, you may think there is not much benefit to it.

However, once you start doing the plank, and doing it correctly, you will definitely feel it…

Even though you are not in any motion whatsoever.

For a pretty basic isometric exercise, planks strengthen your entire body…

They make your core pop, strengthen your lower back, and build your shoulders.

Set Up The Plank

  • Get into pushup position on the floor.
  • Now bend your elbows 90 degrees and rest your weight on your forearms. Your elbows should be directly beneath your shoulders, and your body should form a straight line from your head to your feet.
  • Hold the position for as long as you can. Your goal should be to hold it for two minutes.

So, try The Plank yourself and you’ll see what we mean.

The key is to keep your body rigid and straight… And hold it for as long as you can.
